'UN Sustainable Development Goals' Meeting Held at Yozgat Bozok University

A meeting on the “UN Sustainable Development Goals” was held on 26 November 2024 in the Senate Hall of the Rectorate at Yozgat Bozok University. The meeting was chaired by the Rector, Prof. Dr Evren Yaşar, with the participation of Vice Rectors, the University Secretary General, Deputy Secretaries General, and Heads of Departments.

During the meeting, the “Sustainable Development Goals,” declared by the United Nations (UN) on 25 September 2015, were discussed within the context of planned activities specific to the university. These goals, comprising 17 SDGs and 169 targets, aim to eradicate poverty in all its forms and dimensions and to ensure shared prosperity for humanity by 2030.

University department officials provided information on the environmental, societal, economic, and social dimensions of sustainability-related initiatives. They also outlined short-, medium-, and long-term activities the university could undertake under the sustainability framework.
