Yozgat Bozok University Ranked Globally in Four Academic Fields in THE 2026 Subject Rankings

Times Higher Education (THE), one of the world’s most prestigious academic ranking organisations, has announced the results of the World University Rankings 2026. According to the outcomes of the THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026, Yozgat Bozok University has achieved the distinction of being listed among the world’s universities in four subject areas: Physical Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Medical and Health Sciences, and Life Sciences.

Within the scope of THE 2026 Subject Rankings, which assess 11 fields of science, Yozgat Bozok University demonstrated its disciplined academic excellence both nationally and internationally by securing notable positions such as:

• 11th in Turkey in Physical Sciences (Teaching),

• 20th in Turkey in Research Quality,

• 19th in Turkey in Engineering (International Outlook).

Based on multifaceted indicators, including teaching quality, research environment and outputs, international outlook, and industry collaborations, the university achieved remarkable success, particularly in the Physical Sciences and Engineering fields, ranking among the top universities in Turkey.

Strong Performance in Physical Sciences Teaching Quality

Yozgat Bozok University achieved its highest performance in Physical Sciences, encompassing core disciplines such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Geology. Among 1,497 universities from 109 countries evaluated worldwide, the university ranked in the 801-1000 band, placing it among Turkey’s leading higher education institutions in this category.

The most striking indicator of this achievement was the Teaching parameter. Among 56 Turkish universities listed in Physical Sciences, Yozgat Bozok University ranked 11th in Turkey for Teaching Quality, demonstrating strong standards in education and learning.

In the same subject area, the university also ranked 15th in Turkey in International Outlook and 20th in Research Quality, while its overall position fell within the 13-22 band, underscoring a solid academic performance.

Competitive Presence in Engineering and Technology

Maintaining steady growth in Engineering and Technology, Yozgat Bozok University ranked within the 1001-1250 band among 1,555 universities from 98 countries.

In this field, which includes 79 Turkish universities, the institution ranked 33-51 nationally, placing it in the upper ranks. Yozgat Bozok University ranked 19th in Turkey in International Outlook and 23rd in Research Quality, reflecting its increasing academic output and strong capacity for international collaboration in engineering disciplines.

First-Ever Global Recognition in Life Sciences

For the first time, Yozgat Bozok University earned a position in the global Life Sciences ranking, marking a new milestone in its academic development. This field covers disciplines such as Biology, Agriculture, and Forestry, with 1,211 universities evaluated worldwide.

Yozgat Bozok University ranked within the 1001+ band globally and, among 43 Turkish universities, within the 18-43 band nationally. In addition, it was 27th in Turkey in International Outlook, a strong testament to its expertise and growing internationalisation capacity in biological sciences.

Medical and Health Sciences Achieve Global Listing

With outstanding achievements in health-related education and research, Yozgat Bozok University also earned a place in the global ranking for Medical and Health Sciences.

Among 1,230 universities from 102 countries, the university ranked within the 1001+ band, while among 74 Turkish universities on the list, it was positioned in the 27-74 national band. Particularly strong Research Quality scores demonstrate the university’s substantial progress and potential in medical and health-related disciplines.
