Continued Success of Our Faculty Members in TÜBİTAK Projects
A new TÜBİTAK-1001 project from our Hemp Research Institute has been awarded funding.
The project is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hülya Doğan, a faculty member of our University’s Hemp Research Institute. The research team includes our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Güngör Yılmaz from the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Field Crops; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Güçlü from the Hemp Research Institute; Prof. Dr. Hatice Baş from the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Aydöner Çoban from the Smart Greenhouse Technologies Program at Simav Vocational School of Dumlupınar University.
The project, titled “Effects of Soilless Cultivation Conditions on the Chemical Composition and Biological Activity of Hemp (Cannabis sativa L. var. sativa),” aims to generate scientific data related to our University’s specialization area by investigating the cultivation of hemp under greenhouse-based soilless farming conditions. Within this scope, the study will examine changes in the chemical composition and biological activity of hemp grown under soilless conditions, thereby contributing to the development of sustainable soilless production models. The scientific outcomes are expected to make significant contributions both to the academic literature and to our University’s specialization goals in the field of hemp research.
Our University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Evren Yaşar, congratulated the project team for their success in the TÜBİTAK ARDEB 1001 Program and wished them continued success.
