Yozgat Bozok University Ranked First in Türkiye at the Council of Higher Education’s Accessible Universities Awards 2025

The results of the Accessible Universities Awards 2025, organised by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE), have been announced. The awards were presented at the “2025 Accessible University Flags and Program Badge Ceremony” held at CoHE. Our university achieved significant success through its exemplary efforts in accessibility and became the university with the most awards nationwide, receiving a total of 12 flags in the “Accessible University Flag” category.

At the ceremony, CoHE President Prof. Dr Erol Özvar presented the certificate of achievement to our Rector, Prof. Dr Evren Yaşar, in recognition of our university ranking first in Türkiye with 12 flags.

Within the scope of the Accessible Flag Awards, our university received a total of 12 Accessible University Flags, including 5 in the “Accessibility in Socio-Cultural Activities” (Blue Flag) category and 7 in the “Accessibility in Education” (Green Flag) category, placing it at the top of the list.

Through improvements to physical spaces, as well as to educational and socio-cultural accessibility, our university has strengthened its leading position among institutions that support the full participation of individuals with disabilities in education, research, and social life. In his statement regarding this achievement, our Rector Prof. Dr Evren Yaşar said: “We embrace the concept of an accessible university not as a responsibility, but as an institutional value. With the contributions of our students, academic and administrative staff, and others, we will continue to enhance accessibility across all areas. Our university’s ranking as Türkiye's best is a concrete indicator that we are progressing with the right vision. I would like to thank all stakeholders who contributed to this success.”
